It is being reported in the news today that the overuse of antibiotics is making infections harder to treat and leading to thousands of deaths a year through drug-resistant superbugs.

This problem does not just exist for human medicine, we need to make a conscious effort to avoid using antibiotics where possible and look to other methods of treatment.
