Haygain ComfortStall Equestrian Flooring Warranty

Issued by Farm & Stable Supplies T/A FS Animal Health for Haygain ComfortStall fitted on or after January 2024 and installed in conjunction with Haygain ComfortStall Certified Installers

Limited Warranty – 6-Year Coverage

This Limited Warranty ("Warranty") applies exclusively to the ComfortStall equestrian flooring system ("the Product") supplied and installed by FS Animal Health which is a trading name of Farm & Stable Supplies LLP (“FS Animal Health”) or its authorized agents, and is valid for a period of six (6) years from the date of installation, subject to the terms and conditions detailed below.

1. Warranty Scope and Coverage

1.1 Headline Warranty Duration

Subject to the terms below, FS Animal Health warrants that the ComfortStall flooring system, when installed in accordance with approved procedures and used under intended equestrian conditions, will remain free from material defects in workmanship and manufacturing for a period of six (6) years.

Note: Any successful warranty claim does not extend or re-date the warranty from its original installation date.

2. General Warranty Terms and Conditions

The Warranty is valid only when all of the following conditions are met:

2.1 Approved Installation

  • The Product must be installed and completed by Haygain ComfortStall contractors who have been formally approved and certified by FS Animal Health.
  • Any installation, maintenance, or repairs by unauthorised parties automatically invalidates the Warranty.
  • The fitted flooring must be registered by email to info.uk@fsah.com within seven (7) days of installation and completed by the fitting company prior to use.

Important: Where an independent fitting company is used — whether recommended by FS Animal Health or Haygain, or otherwise — the contract for these services will be between the customer and the fitting company. FS Animal Health accepts no liability for workmanship, damages, or delays relating to installation. Any warranty claims or complaints about the fitting service must be addressed directly with the fitting company.

2.2 Permitted Usage

  • The Product must be used solely as a stable flooring system for equestrian use in stalls, loose boxes, or similar enclosures designed for horses.
  • The flooring is designed for use by horses only (shod and unshod) and human foot traffic associated with routine equine care. No other animal species or vehicular traffic may use the surface.
  • The stall must allow for free, unencumbered movement of the horse.
  • No items exceeding 90kg in static weight may be stored on the floor surface for more than 1 hour per 24-hour period.

2.3 Prohibited Use

The flooring must not be subjected to:

  • Motorized or manual wheeled vehicle traffic, including trolleys with rigid casters.
  • Prolonged tethering of horses in one place
  • Storage of heavy or sharp-edged tools, equipment, or feeders that may puncture or abrade the surface.
  • Exposure to flame, extreme heat sources, or prolonged UV exposure from artificial sources.

3. Component-Specific Warranty Terms - where there is any contradiction between these and the General Terms and Conditions, these will take priority.

  • Covered under this Warranty for a full period of six (6) years from date of purchase, against normal wear and tear under equestrian use conditions.
    Exclusions:

  • Excessive abrasion from unapproved equipment (metal rakes, shovels, pressure washers, mechanical sweepers).

3.2 ComfortStall Precision Foam Layer

  • Covered under a limited Warranty for a period of two (2) years from date of purchase.
    Exclusions:
  • Damage or degradation caused by rising damp, water ingress from below, or poor drainage/substrate failure.
  • Compression damage from prolonged load-bearing beyond specification.

3.3 ComfortStall Perimeter Sealant

  • Sealant applied to edges and seams is covered for six (6) months from date of purchase.
  • Resealing must occur at six-month intervals to maintain the hygienic seal.
  • Resealing is considered part of routine maintenance and is not covered beyond the initial 6-month Warranty.
  • Excessive abrasion from unapproved equipment (metal rakes, shovels, pressure washers, mechanical sweepers).

4. Care and Maintenance Requirements

To maintain the validity of the warranty, the following care points must be observed:

4.1 Cleaning

  • The flooring must be cleaned a minimum of once every two (2) weeks using only FS Animal Health–approved cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
  • Water temperature must not exceed 60°C, and washing must not exceed 100 PSI at a minimum of 12” distance.

4.2 Bedding Management

  • Bedding materials must be removed and managed using rubber matting-compatible tools (e.g., looped-tine forks, plastic-tined forks, rubber-tipped brooms).
  • Use of metal tools, shovels, or tools with sharp tines may void the Warranty.

4.3 Inspections

  • Routine inspections should be carried out monthly for wear, damage, or lifting at seams.
  • Issues must be reported to FS Animal Health within 7 days of detection.

FS animal health may require proof of your compliance with the above conditions before accepting your warranty claim.

5. Exclusions and Limitations

5.1 Responsibility for Safe Use and Environment

To the extent permitted under applicable law, FS Animal Health, Haygain, and their affiliated installation partners accept no liability for any injury, trip hazard, harm to horses, humans, equipment, or other animals that may arise from use of the ComfortStall flooring system, whether or not the Product is later deemed defective.

It is the sole responsibility of the client or facility owner to:

  • Conduct a full risk assessment prior to use of the flooring.
  • Inspect and approve the environment in which the flooring is installed.
  • Ensure that any person or animal interacting with the installed flooring does so under supervision and at their own risk.

Use of the Product indicates the client’s full acceptance of its installation and suitability for the intended equestrian environment. No warranty claim will be accepted for injuries or damage resulting from slips, trips, falls, unexpected animal behaviour, or use in environments not reasonably maintained by the client.

5.2 This Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Improper or unauthorised installation, modification, or repair of the system.
  • Damage caused by abuse, neglect, vandalism, fire, flood, or pest infestation.

  • Colour fading, cosmetic wear, or appearance-based complaints not affecting performance.
  • Any consequential or incidental damages of any nature whatsoever, including loss of use or business disruption.

6. Claims Process

To initiate a claim under this Warranty:

  • Provide written notice to FS Animal Health by email (info.uk@fsah.com) or post within 7 days of discovery of the defect.  Your continued use of the products after you become aware of a defect may lead to further issues which will affect the validity of your claim so you should discontinue use as soon as you become aware of a problem.
  • Include:
    • Proof of purchase and installation certification.
    • Photos of the alleged defect.
    • Description of conditions of use and cleaning regime.

FS Animal Health reserves the right to inspect the site or request additional documentation before accepting any warranty claim.

7. Remedies and Discretion

At its sole discretion, FS Animal Health may:

  • Repair or replace the defective component.
  • Provide a pro-rata refund based on the remaining useful life of the Product.
  • Decline the claim if the issue is determined to result from improper use, failure to meet maintenance conditions, or installation not in compliance with FS Animal Health standards.

8. Governing Law

This Warranty shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any claims or disputes regarding this warranty will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
No third-party rights are conferred under this Warranty.
