1. How is the 2018 season going for you currently?
With a very slow start to the season with all our entered events cancelled, we have had limited runs. However the runs we have had have all gone to plan and been successful. All the horses are going well and my top horse ‘Sam the Man’, is feeling the best ever, which is very exciting.
2. What has been your best result so far?
We had a lovely double clear in the ERM at Chatsworth, as well as a personal best in the dressage, I just went steady cross country as it was a prep run for Bramham CCI3*. Bramham CCI3* has probably been our best result of the season, another personal best dressage test, followed up with a super classy confident clear cross country. Sadly we rolled a pole show jumping, but it was still a top result, which has meant we are qualified for WEG 2018 for Team Zimbabwe.
3. Where are you headed for in the Autumn?
The first answer has to be with everything crossed to go to the World Equestrian Games, otherwise it’ll be to go to Pau 4*!
4. Who are your stable stars currently?
The main man is still Sam the man (Biarritz ), then we a have a nice selection of a range of young up and coming horses.
5. Have there been any major changes so far this year?
A lot more dressage training, which is currently paying off as we keep getting personal bests each time we go out competing.
6. Which Haygain product/s are you finding most useful at home and away at competitions?
We love our steamer which is in daily use. But this year we have started to use the Nebuliser, this has really helped my top horse out a lot with the dry weather and increased pollen about.
